Tuesday 31st March

31st Mar 2020

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well and staying safe.

The last day of March is here. It's really hard to believe that next week, we'll be on our Easter holidays!

Thanks to everyone who has been posting their work on Seesaw. Teachers have been busy keeping up with your work and I know they enjoy seeing how you are all getting on. I'm able to see some of your brilliant work and it has really been so lovely to see. Thank you. Any photos you'd like to share, please use the email address at the end of this message.

I'm a bit late today with the daily update as I was so busy watching the videos on Newsdesk this morning. On Junior Newsdesk you'll love the article on Doughnuts. The video on how they're made is brilliant and the music that plays on that video is so good. Do you know what it's called? I know that Mrs McCartan plays some if it in her classroom sometimes. If you don't know it, try Shazaming it. Since we've been off, I've had to listen to some very strange music at home from my teenagers. Shazam means they think I know what they're listening to. (Try it out parents.)

Back to the article on doughnuts - there's a challenge to design your own doughnut. I'd love to see your designs, so send them into the e-mail address at the end of this.

On Newsdesk the focus is about washing your hands properly. As we all know by now, we should be washing our hands for twenty seconds. Why? Well, there's a clip on today's Newsdesk that explains why, along with a Lucas Moura hat trick! The word search can be completed online. What's your best score? (No cheating now!)

I also really enjoyed reading about things we can control during this time at home and things we can't control. We can control what we do, what we eat, what we read and what we think about. We can't control the news, what's happening elsewhere, what others are doing. As we always say in school, just keep doing your best and be the best you can be. remember the 3 Ps - Be Positive, Be Patient, Be Persistent!

During your time at home remember to pray for those people who are sick and also those people who are working so hard to help. They all need our prayers.
