Good morning -

As we reach the end of this 'shorter' week I hope that everyone is well. Tomorrow is a scheduled Bank holiday, so make the most of the long weekend if you can.

Newsdesk today is delicious. Sweets were rationed during WW2 - can you imagine that? The task today is to design a new chocolate bar. Hard to beat a KitKat or a Star Bar mind you, but good luck trying. Junior Newsdesk is all about VE day which is tomorrow. It's an opportunity to thank everyone who is working hard at the moment to keep things running as we deal with the many restrictions in place.

One of the events we look forward to this term is Sports Day. This year we hope you can get involved in our Healthy Kidz Virtual Sports Day. Details will be sent separately. It should be a bit of fun for all of us.

Thanks to everyone for your great pictures. I've also seen some of them on Seesaw, but cannot use these on our website. If you'd like to share pics, please e-mail to: info@stpatrickspssaul.downpatrick.ni.sch.uk

Remember to keep praying for those who are sick or alone and those people who are working so hard to look after them. Pray for everyone who is so busy looking after you and still working to ensure we have everything we need. We are so grateful.

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.

Joke for the older children today:

What do you say to comfort a Grammar teacher?

There Their They’re.
