Well I hope that you were able to play a prank or two on your families yesterday. Not even one person told me my lace was undone – when we’re in school, that normally happens one hundred times on April Fools Day. I hope you liked the story on Newsdesk? I thought it was great. The Finn MacCool story is great. Perhaps when we get back to normal you could take a trip up to the Giant's Causeway?

Today there’s a great article on Zoos. There’s an amazing picture of a girl in a crocodile’s mouth! (Don’t be scared.) I think we may be starting to feel like the animals who are kept in zoos. Not being able to go where we want, when we want is tough. Imagine if it was like this all the time? At least we still have some school work to do in our packs and teachers are busy using Seesaw as well. Make sure you check in each day there and they will be delighted to see your work and even better your smiling faces!

On Junior Newsdesk the article is about how to make a Bug hotel. We had planned to do this in garden club this term. Now everyone can do it. There’s a follow up investigation after you’ve made your bug hotel too. I think this is a really cool wee project that you could do with the rest of your family. You could use some of the extra bottles, boxes and things you have at home, or maybe you’ve found them while the shed has been cleared out. I hope you have some fun making your bug hotel. What will you call yours?

We had some great photos sent in yesterday. I really am amazed by how creative everyone is. It was great to see Breagh having the usual Wednesday school dinner – CHICKEN CURRY! Even though she couldn’t get to share the craic with her friends as she ate it, she could think about them instead. I wonder did it taste any better than the delicious curry we get from Mrs Hanvey and Kellie?

P7s had a challenge to write a poem and there were some brilliant ideas. I particularly liked the poem by Freddie which reminds us that this lockdown will not last forever.

Remember to send in your photos to info@stpatrickspssaul.downpatrick.ni.sch.uk

Please continue to pray for all those who are sick and for our families.

Stay safe.
