Thursday 26th March
Good morning
I hope everyone is well. You were probably really busy yesterday helping out with all of the chores at home. Did you find anything that had been 'LOST?' Keep helping as much as you can.
This weather is unbelievable! It's really tough not being able to enjoy it the way we normally we would with our friends. On Newsdesk today there is some excellent advice on what to do when you're, "Confined by Coronavirus!" It's written in a comic and you could be the comic book hero. If you're upset, bored, worried, lonely or frustrated it has some tips that you could perhaps use. Maybe making your own comic.
When I was growing up, my favourite comics were, 'The Dandy' and 'Roy of the Rovers.' In the Dandy there were characters like Desperate Dan and Korky the Cat. In Roy of the Rovers it had Roy Race as a football star playing for Melchester Rovers. Other characters were Hotshot Hamish and Mighty Mouse. Maybe you could ask your parents or better still ring your older relatives and see if they remember reading comics when they were your age.
Over on Junior Newsdesk, there's a lovely challenge to write your own postcard and excellent instructions. I'd love to see them. Perhaps even post them to school?
Thanks again to those who have sent in their Rainbow photos. Some brilliant ideas and great to see thos happy, smiling faces! Remember to send them in to info@stpatrickspssaul.downpatrick.ni.sch.uk
Stay safe!
