What a great day we had at St Patrick's Park for our sports day. The sun shone, the grass dried up and the children were just brilliant. We enjoyed the various races and events - the parents' race was exceptional - and the craic was ninety too! All of the children including some with broken bones and injuries took part and their effort was amazing. We got to see the friendships between the children and how they supported each other was lovely. Of course we had plenty of first, second and thirds, while everyone also received a special certificate. These were awarded when we got back to school.
Thanks to the gaelic club for the use of their facilities. Thanks to our PTFA for the very welcome refreshments. Thanks to our staff for ensuring everything ran smoothly. Thanks to everyone who came along and enjoyed the occasion with us - your support was appreciated. And finally thanks to our children for doing what they do so well - their best!
