We celebrated our beginning of year school mass this morning with Fr Alexander in the church. Fr talked about how we were like flowers and need to be looked after carefully, so we can grow and bloom. Being friends and looking after each other is so important in and out of school.
Afterwards he presented the P1s with a little present as they start their time with us in St Patrick's. they all got a little crucifix, some pencils and a sharpener. The prayer on the crucifix says:
Thank You God
For this new day
in my school
To work and play.
Please be with me
All day long

Game and song.
Amen.
