A brave bunch of runners made the annual Roller Coaster Races at Downpatrick racecourse with East Down Athletics hosting. The weather did everything it could to stop the runners, but they're a hardy bunch and defied the elements to complete their races.
Pride of place goes to the Moore sisters Erin and Caragh who came second in their categories P5 & P3. They certainly are fleet footed and represented our school so well. A special mention also to Freddie from P5 who finished his race in spite of falling right at the start line. It was discovered later that he had broken his collar bone! What a brave boy, who kept going right to the end!!!
Thanks to East Down Athletics for organising the races and to all of the parents and children who came along in the name of our school, we are very proud of you all.
