Good morning everyone
The start of a new week at home. Last week was very busy and we're in for another busy week, especially as we now have to stay at home in line with the government instructions.
It's probably even more important that you try and have a routine for the day ahead. In school we start each morning with our prayers and sorting out lunches and dinners. Have you been marked in for dinner or lunch today? When you're at home it can be tempting to have extra snacks during the day, so try to stick to breakfast, break, lunch and then dinner in the evening.
Today's Newsdesk article shows just how much pollution has stopped because so many people are staying at home. Venice has been transformed! Cars are being used less and this means the air quality is so much better for us. Also on today's Newsdesk are some maths games and relaxing mindfulness techniques. Your home teacher might want to use some of these! David Walliams also reads Peter Picker from "The World's Worst Children." If you haven't read it, it's disgusting!
Over on Junior Newsdesk the Lego challenge that we have on our website is explained. 20 minutes and see how many things you can build! Can your mum, dad, big brother/sister beat you?
Thanks to everyone who sent in their rainbow photos so far. You are so creative and there have been some wonderful ideas. Charlie's spin on the theme is beautiful. Thanks also to Saul & Joshua who sent in a picture of them reading two old comics that I had forgotten about - The Beezer and The Topper. (Not as good as The Dandy or Roy of the Rovers lads. You would have loved Roy of the Rovers BTW.)
Lastly for today, remember to help at home. There's plenty of help you can give while at home - perhaps you can sort out the washing, tidy out your wardrobe, sort out the recycling, help in the garden. I'm sure there's plenty! If mum or dad are also working at home, give them some space and time - use your own ideas to keep busy until they've finished.
