Good morning - Another sunny day to start the week. It's amazing that we have had such a great start to the summer term. Usually we are greeted with days of rain, yet this year we have had wall to wall sunshine! Let's hope it stays with us for another wee while.

Today teachers have put your work on our Learn@Home section of the school website. Parents received details in a message earlier. It's important to try and have a routine in place for the week ahead and this should help. Remember to give mum and dad some space as well and do your best. Every family will have different pressures and we do not want to increase any anxiety at home, so do what you can. There should always be time for some reading, a little bit of writing and some maths practice. Also try to keep active. Joe Wicks is still on every morning and could be a good way to start the day.

Another way to start the day is logging into C2k and reading the articles on Newsdesk. Today is about Belfast Zoo. Have you ever been? I enjoyed the crossword puzzle at the end.

Junior Newsdesk today asks us to keep in contact with family who we haven't been able to see during this time. I mentioned before Easter that it would be lovely to get in touch with grandparents or relatives you haven't been able to visit. Perhaps you could make them a card or send them a letter. Maybe you'd like to send your teacher a wee letter or card? You could send them in to school and I could pass them on.

There's lots to stay busy with and I hope that you keep working just as well as you always do for us in school. It's been great to see your photos of reading. Reading in dens, on the sofa, outside. Keep it up!

Remember to pray for those who are sick and those people who are working so hard to look after them and keep everything still running.

Stay safe.

PS I know that some of you have been missing my jokes so:

Why did the music teacher need a ladder?

To reach the high notes!
