Our boys hurling team made their competitive debut in the annual Cuman na mBunscoil Indoor Hurling blitz in De La Salle Downpatrick this week. The boys were drawn in a tough group with St Patrick's Ballgalget, St Joseph's Carryduff and St Patrick's Ballynahinch. A draw in their first game against Ballygalget was a promising start that could have been even better with a missed penalty in that game. A narrow defeat with eventual qualifiers Carryduff, which included another missed penalty was tough, but the boys showed their mettle in the last game and won it with the whole panel contributing to the victory. A fantastic experience for them all. Thanks to De La Salle for hosting, to Mr Robinson frrom OLSP for organising and to our parents who helped with transport. Well done to this group of lads who represented our school and their clubs so well!
