Friday 27th March
Well, what a strange week that has been! I hope that you are all well and have made it through the first week of staying at home. It has been a very different way for us all to learn and to teach. Hopefully you will see that your teachers are learning how this will work just as much as you are! Your parents will also be learning, so please remember what I said at the start of the week - those who are helping you at home need the same respect your teachers get in school. As the days go on, you'll find it even more challenging, but just do your best as always!
Friday is a day when we check how our week's learning has gone. We also hear at assembly about how well you have worked. This week your teachers have been able to see every day on Seesaw how much work you have been doing and how well you've been able to do it. Keep it up. Chances are you will have won Pupil of the week in your own house!!!
There have been lots on interesting articles on Newsdesk over the last five days. Todays is about Clever Creatures. Dolphins are amazing creatures. The article finishes with a request for you to write an article on a clever creature. I look forward to seeing some of them.
On Junior Newsdesk one of my favourite stories is on - We're going a bear hunt! It's read by Michale Rosen. I think you'll enjoy it.
Thanks for the latest batch of Rainbow photos. Some very creative rainbows and even better are the happy, smiling faces along with them. Send in your pics to info@stpatrickspssaul.downpatrick.ni.sch.uk
Lastly today, remember that the weekend means no school work. Try to leave the devices alone and spend a little more time away from searching online and enjoying some 'downtime' with your family. A game of cards or even a walk sound good to me! Teachers will not be using Seesaw over the weekend.
Stay safe.
