Dunleath Soccer League disappointment
With the sun shining on Dunleath Park, the school soccer team took to the field unbeaten and full of confidence after a great first week. Their confidence was maintained as they remained undefeated reaching the final v Our Lady & St Patrick's Downpatrick. In a very close and tense final, both sides went back and forth in search of the goal that would be enough to win it and OLSP were fortunate enough that fortune favoured them as they scored on a breakaway attack for the win. Our players sunk to their knees at the final whistle and were inconsolable. In spite of trying their hardest, they just couldn't find the net when it mattered most. Well done to the victors who took their chance well and a big thank you to Graham and his Acti-Sports team for their organisation and excellent officiating throughout the competition. Onwards and upwards!
