Duck Hunt
7th Feb 2025
As we had our 100th day and Children's mental health week, we combined both on Wednesday with our first duck hunt. 100 (+90) ducks were hid around the classrooms in school. Each one was numbered and everyone had a ball hunting for them when they got to class. We had two special prizes with numbers written on them 112 and 157. These were chosen by Mrs. Davey and Miss McCullough who made the delicious hot chocolate the children enjoyed in the hall. Who had found the ducks with these same numbers? Mr McGrath went around the classes to find out. No one in P7. No one in P6. No one in P4, though Parvan had 111. In P5 we found the first winner. Carter had no 112. No one in P2. No one in P3. Surely it must be P1? Miss McMullan and Mrs. McDowell had to check the ducks carefully and Ayza was the lucky second winner! We had great craic finding the ducks, checking the numbers and seeing who had won.
