Cuman na mBunscol An Dún Indoor Gaelic Football Lecale qualifying competition took place in De La Salle HS Dpk yesterday.
The competition had the highest number of entrants for years with 13 teams playing. The boys got off to a slow start, but got into their stride beating Our Lady & St Patrick's PS Downpatrick, St Nicholas' Ardglass and St Joseph's Tyrella, before playing out an entertaining draw with Legamaddy. Three other teams have made it through to the All County finals next week with us. St Patrick's Ballynahinch, St Joseph's Carryduff and St Macartan's Loughinisland.
It was a hugely competitive morning of football with matches going right to the wire and superb skill on show. Thanks to all the schools who came along, to De La Salle HS for hosting and providing the referee, student Cian Roberts, who refereed brilliantly throughout. (Féilim in P2 knows how good Cian is!)
