We've had one of the best days ever in school as the super seventeen faced off in Battle Royale 2! Sixteen players faced off in the hall and the competition was fierce! Fingers were tapping out answers quicker than Michael Flatley's feet skipping across the stage! Alexx Weir (aka Beth P6) set a record time of 0.92 seconds per answer in the quarter finals.
After some close contests and even a tie in the last quarter final, Sky Myers (aka Lucy P7) faced Karen Briggs (aka Cara P6) in the final. The atmosphere in the hall was electric as the P2s and 3s had joined us and both girls gave their best to become the ultimate Superstar Rockstar. Sky came through with a flawless final score of 64 to become our second Battle Royale and take home the trophy!
The timetables knowledge of all the children was truly impressive and the speed with which they could input the answers blew everyone away. Some of the adults in the room were still reading the sum and the children had answered and moved on!
We also enjoyed watching how the competition was played out. Every child was willing their opponent to do their best and even sometimes whispering answers to them! Thanks to all our challengers and to Sky Myers - Maith thú!
